We are now on our fourth day of our break......and loving every moment of it...........Am I missing my daily commute to and from work? HELL NO! The commuting here consists of strolling along the Atlantic ocean, along Maspalomas, along the many swimming pools and bars scattered around both the Tabaiba and the MasPalomas Princess hotels. meeting new people from different parts of the globe and learning about the area. Las Palmas is not far away.........North East from Maspalomas to be exact

There are plenty of activies within the Tabaiba and MasPalomas hotels; mini golf (from ten in the morning to midnight), tennis, archery, snooker, large human chess game, the piano bar and variety of evening entertaiment to name a few. They have golf courses for golf lovers and massages (Thai) and spa area. The one that amused me was the 'Fish Spa'..............why? did I hear you ask! Well in case you've never heard of it (I have seen it it other Spanish resorts).........it's basically a spa full with tiny fish whose main purposes are to nibble at your desired spots. So imagine them nibbling at your fingers for that pedicure, your feet for that manicure and psoriasis treatment............and for those brave enough, nibbling all over your body for a full body treatment.......... not quite the same as a chocolate wrap is it?

The weather is beautiful today, twenty six degrees and Mother Nature has decided not to send a drop of rain nor wind.........I look up to the sky and mouth "Thank You" remembering what was said on CNN news this morning - The UK and other parts of Europe were having a weather crisis! SNOW! SNOW! and more SNOW!. Areas covered with thick coating of the white stuff! People being stranded on motorways, side roads and airports......... at Heathrow airport, they are only allowing limited planes to take off (but not land) and Gatwick? My main concern.............. is still a 'no fly' zone. Thousands of passengers are enduring cancellations and have been warned to contact the travel agents before travelling to the airport, oh dear!

Ok..........back to Maspalomas, Gran Canaria.........

We're sat just outside the pool bar, beside one of the many pools ........reading and drinking ( I have finally finished another Patricia Cornwall novel)
