Our plan for today?
Visit the Dunes of course.........so after showering and having breakfast we made our way through the back gates (operated only with guest key card), cross over towards the now running canal (this canal way bone dried on Wednesday night as we strolled across one of the many bridges), stopping only to ask for directions.
It's basically two kilometres from the Tabaiba Princess hotel with the mountain behind us. Gazing up to the sky, I try to engage with Mother Nature.........yes, it may have rained again last night but this morning the sky is blue and the clouds are white and fluffy hence our decision to visit the Dunes. There's a loud noise coming from the canal as water gashes through it, running side by side as if in unison with us mare mortals. Ahead of us slightly to the left, the Dunes in plain sight and camels doing what they do best, giving tourist camel rides across the Dunes..........then my eyes caught a glimpse of the beach............the sea...........and holidaymakers!
"Shall we do the beach first?"
"Yes....... why not?
The Atlantic Ocean was enticing us to it's coastline and we followed like lemmings to get a better view.........and it was worth it! The magnificent ocean waves came and went and came again, teasing, showing it's beautiful and ugly side
Then.........Mother Nature decided to play a cruel joke........... the heavens opened and poured................ and poured, soaking us before stopping in mid-flow. One minute a downpour, minutes later.........sun ( twentysix degrees at the moment). We decided it was best to make our way back to our hotel and do the Dunes another time
